This SMS Messaging Policy describes how Summit Systems, LLC dba Summit Systems ("Summit Systems," "Company," "we," "our," or "us") uses SMS messaging in connection with the Summit Systems platform.
Summit Systems provides transactional SMS messaging services for restaurants and food service businesses using the Summit Systems platform.
Nature of SMS Communications
SMS messages sent through the Summit Systems platform are strictly transactional in nature and are related to a specific order initiated by the end-user with a participating restaurant.
SMS messages may include:
• Secure payment links for phone orders
• Payment confirmation notifications
• Order preparation updates
• Pickup readiness notifications
• Order completion confirmations
Summit Systems does not send promotional, marketing, or advertising messages through this program.
How Users Provide Consent
Customers provide consent to receive SMS messages during the ordering process.
When placing a phone order with a participating restaurant, the customer voluntarily provides their mobile phone number to the restaurant employee. The employee informs the customer that the number will be used to send a secure payment link and order-related updates via SMS.
By voluntarily providing their phone number in connection with placing an order, the customer consents to receive transactional SMS messages related to that specific order.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on the status of the order and may include several transactional messages associated with the order lifecycle.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient’s wireless carrier and mobile plan.
Opt-Out Instructions
Recipients may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
Once a user opts out, they will no longer receive SMS messages from that number unless they initiate a new transaction that requires messaging.
Help Instructions
Recipients may reply HELP to receive assistance or contact customer support.
Privacy and Data Use
Phone numbers collected for SMS messaging are used solely for transactional communication related to restaurant orders.
Summit Systems does not sell, rent, trade, or share phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Customer phone numbers are used only for the purpose of sending order-related notifications and payment links necessary to complete the transaction.
